How to get low rates on automobile insurance in iowa

Did you know that if you have a spotless driving record and if you have sufficient financial resources to pay for medical expenses and property damage in the event of an accident that you do not have to purchase car insurance in Iowa?

But before you start driving in Iowa sans car insurance you need to keep in mind that having the financial resources to pay for an accident out of your own pocket may not be possible for most people. That's why the majority of Iowans elect to purchase car insurance.

Also, if your car is being financed then your lender will require that you purchase car insurance.

So – regardless of the fact that Iowa technically does not require most of its drivers to carry car insurance, the fact of the matter is that the vast majority of drivers are still trying to get the best rates on car insurance in Iowa.

Luckily there are several options available to Iowa drivers that can help to keep the cost of their car insurance low.

One of the biggest determining factors for how much you'll pay for car insurance is your own driving record. If you want to have and to keep the lowest car insurance rates possible then you must keep a clean driving record. No speeding or other moving violations. And definitely no convictions for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) or for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).

A DUI or DWI on your record will cause a serious jump in the cost of your car insurance, and a second conviction for either offense will send you scrambling for high-risk car insurance (if you can even get it) at a cost that will knock your socks off.

Drivers under 25 years of age are considered bad risks and their insurance is considerably more than what a good driver over 25 will pay. If possible younger drivers should stay in school and maintain at least a "B" grade point average. Doing so will earn them a 5% Good Student Discount on their car insurance premium every month.

Older drivers can apply to take a driver's refresher course. Not every insurance company offers such a course, but if your company does, and you pass the course, you can save approximately 10% per month on your car insurance premium.

If you seldom drive your car you may qualify for a hefty Low-Mileage Discount on your monthly bill.

Do you drive an older model vehicle or a vehicle that has almost no value? Be aware that even if you are paying for collision and comprehensive coverage every month, if you are involved in an accident your insurance company won't pay you any more than the Kelly Blue Book value of your car. Check with your agent to see if it is worth it to you to continue paying for comprehensive and collision insurance.

Consider increasing your deductible. This is not something you should do without giving it some serious thought since you will be forced to come up with the cash to pay for your deductible in the event of a claim before your insurance company will pay anything toward the repair or replacement of your vehicle. But the higher your deductible, the lower your monthly car insurance payment.

So now that you have a good idea of the steps you can take to lower your car insurance premiums it's time to get online and find at least 3 different websites that allow you to compare the prices you'll pay for car insurance from a variety of different companies.

If you're truly serious about saving the most money possible and you really want to get the best rates on car insurance in Iowa, then you'll need to take the extra time to make comparisons on at least 3 different websites. This way you can be certain that you are comparing prices from the largest number of insurance companies possible, and you can feel confident that you have found the best deal possible at the best price available.

Cheers season 2 dvd review

One of the top-rated sitcoms of the 1980s, Cheers founded the "must see" hours of NBC's prime time lineup. Following the exploits of a group of bar employees and their customers, Cheers became a regular hangout not just for guys like Norm Peterson and Cliff Clavin, but for all of America as well. Bartender and Cheers owner Sam Malone is a retired pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, while he's joined by employees Ernie "Coach" Pantusso, Carla Tortelli, and Diane Chambers. A number of recurring characters seated around the bar appear in each episode. Almost every episode takes place entirely in the bar...

The Cheers (Season 2) DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes and ignites Sam and Diane's long-lasting, on-again/off-again romance. This is also the first season in which Cliff Clavin is an "opening-credits" member of the cast (even though he appeared in most of season one's episodes). Guest appearances by Fred Dryer (of Hunter fame), Dick Cavett, Harry Anderson (of Night Court fame), and Christopher Lloyd (of Taxi and Back To The Future fame) make for some memorable comic sequences. The season ends with Sam and Diane's romance on shaky ground…

How your light fitting could save you money

Most people know that the increase in energy that we are consuming, coupled with the many other activities we enjoy daily, are starting to take their toll on the Earth’s environment. However, making your home more environmentally friendly can be costly and can mean making drastic changes to your lifestyle. BUT it doesn’t have to be that way.

The average light fitting in the home contains a bulb which runs off your electricity supply. These vary in brightness and strength, and this is shown in the wattage of the bulb. Generally these bulbs are fixed into the light fitting either with a bayonet or a screw cap. These can be different in diameter dependent on the lamp but a wide range is available in most supermarkets, department or hardware stores. Bulbs start off quite cheaply and get more expensive the more specialised they are, but a standard 60 watt light bulb can cost only a matter of pence.

Energy saving light bulbs have become more widely recognised over the past decade. However, traditionally they have been expensive to purchase and so have put many people off fitting them in their homes. The good news is that the price of these light bulbs has reduced significantly over the years and that even more is now known about the benefits of using them. In addition, the energy saving bulbs used to be large, bulky and an odd shape. They are now available in more shapes and sizes than they were originally and although they are still slightly bigger than standard bulbs, the difference is minimal.

Energy saving light bulbs are initially more costly to buy than standard bulbs. This is an unavoidable fact. However, they use approximately one fifth of the electricity that a standard bulb costs, meaning that they last eight to ten times longer than a standard bulb. The energy saving bulbs don't cost as much to buy as 8 standard bulbs and so you are saving yourself money as soon as you make the initial investment. Couple this with the fact that where you would need a 60 watt standard bulb you will only require a 12 watt energy saving one, meaning that you will also benefit from a reduction in the amount of electricity you use, therefore cutting your bills.

If the financial aspects of suing energy saving bills are not enough alone to convince you to buy them then bear in mind that by doing something as small as changing your bulb you are also having a positive effect on the environment of the world in which you live.

The power of targeted marketing

Occasionally I read some really compelling information regarding business strategies and I'd like to share with you a concept in the power of targeted marketing that has really caught my attention. The idea in this concept is for a person to focus his/her marketing efforts toward a specific audience who holds an interest in the very product/service being sold. When marketing strategies of this nature are applied, the results are exceedingly more beneficial than when a more generally targeted strategy is used. For example, if marketing to a general audience who holds interests in a wide range of products/services as apposed to a targeted, specific product/service, the results in sales generated from this effort would be greatly diminished compared to the results in sales realized through focusing on a concentrated interest among an audience. The reason for this is because within an audience of people with a large range of interests only a few of the people will find interest in the product/service offered to them. Conversely, when marketing to an audience of people who all hold the same interest in the product/service being offered, every single person in your audience is much more apt to respond to the marketing efforts. This concept can be likened to a ship at sea that is focused on a specific destination (or target.) If the ship maintains it's aim toward the specific target, the ship will effectively reach its target because of the concentrated effort. However, if the ship is aimed in a wide range of directions, the ship's target will in effect be missed and there will be a great deal of effort and energy wasted as the ship meanders here and there. Targeting a specific audience with a specific interest enables you to avoid wasted marketing efforts, time and money. And this is the true power that is found in targeted marketing.

I hope this information will enable you to concentrate your efforts for effective results.

Not a math wiz use an amortization calculator instead

:
An amortization calculator is an excellent tool to use when it comes to finding out how much your loan is going to cost you. This is a basic calculation that is likely to be near impossible for the average person to figure out on their own can tell you what you need to know. The calculator will spit out a wide range of information. It will tell you how much your monthly payment will be. It will tell you how much of that payment will go towards interest and how much will go towards principal on the loan. And, it will tell you the grand total of all that you will spend on your mortgage.

What Is It?

An amortization calculator allows you to input some very basic information and it will then tell you just what this information will be.

  • Input the amount of the mortgage to be. This is the cost of the mortgage, the money borrowed, not the amount the home costs.
  • Input the interest rate that the mortgage will have. When doing so, the more accurate you can be about your own interest rate quote the better.
  • Input the term of the loan. This is the length of time it will take for you to pay off the debt.

Out comes the amortization schedule with a good amount of information with it. You will find out just what you will be paying for that loan. The calculator does not require you to supply any of your personal information as it simply uses these few things to provide information to you.

The calculator can be used to tell you how much you will pay per month on the mortgage that you have taken out. But, you can then use this as a tool to help you find the right type of loan for you. An example is the terms of the loan. While you may think that taking the longest time possible to pay back the loan is the right choice, use the amortization calculator to determine how much it will cost you to go with a 30 year loan in interest as apposed to a 25 or a 20. It may be wiser to go with the shorter terms with a little extra per month if the difference is significant.

This also works for helping you to determine how much of a home you can afford. For example, if you can only afford to pay $800 dollars per mouth, then you can use the amortization calculator to determine with the going interest rate just what dollar amount the home you purchase can be. You should do this before you head out to look for a home too.

As you can see, there are many ways that this simple tool can work for you. You will take it and use it from the beginning of your search for a home and come up ahead of the game. If you do not, you are likely to find yourself paying more or even worse, not realizing just how much you are paying when you factor in interest and the duration of the loan for your mortgage. Use an amortization calculator and find out now.

Details about a few different payment systems

There are numerous different types of payment systems, such as credit cards, checks, wire transfers, bank drafts, point of sale machines, as well as many others. The World Wide Web offers the following definition for what a payment system is: “The generally accepted method of payment for trade in an economy.”

Consumers worldwide use payment systems everyday when conducting daily activities such as shopping and paying bills. If you use an ATM card, or a credit card to pay for goods and services, or to pay your bills, it is important to understand what an ACH is all about.

ACH, which stands for “automated clearing house”, is actually an electronic banking network that operates only in the United States. This network processes huge amounts of electronic payments, such as debit and credit card transactions. The automated clearing house also processes payments to individuals such as the direct deposit of their paychecks, direct deposit of tax refunds, as well as other government benefit checks.

Consumers use this particular payment system to execute payments for their mortgages, car insurance, health insurance, utility bills, and many other bills that are paid on a regular basis. Consumers also utilize POS machines when shopping for groceries and other goods at retail stores. A POS machine, also known as a “point of sale” terminal, allows the consumer to make an automated payment using their debit or credit card. This payment is then processed through the ACH. This method of electronic payment processing makes it convenient for consumers; especially those who do not like to carry a large sum of cash with them.

The ACH payment system uses what has been termed the “Standard Entry Class Code.” This system of coding assigns a certain three-digit code to each payment, so the ACH system will be able to recognize what type of payment it is. There are currently codes in use for the following types of payments; accounts receivable entries, corporate cash disbursements, death notification entries, point of purchase, prearranged payments and deposits, represented check entries, telephone initiated entries, web initiated entries, and destroyed check entries.

With so many payments being processed by the ACH payment system, it would be impossible for one entity to handle all of them. For this reason, payments are processed by certain companies depending upon what region of the United States the payment originated in. While some companies processing payments for the ACH payment system do so for numerous stares, there are some that handle payments for only a single state.

As you go through your daily activities, make a note of every time you happen to use your credit or debit card, or even write a check. You may not realize it, but every time you use one of these methods to pay for something, some sort of payment system is processing your payment.

How to wean a bottle fed kitten

A common problem with new kitten owners is knowing when to start the weaning process,

First off, a kitten needs milk during the first four to five weeks of age so it’s usually not a good idea to start before week four.

It is important to be patient! Remember, your kitten is still a baby and has a very delicate stomach. Also, always use high quality cat food during this important stage of your kitten’s life.

Week four is the average time to start weaning but some kittens might take longer so looking for some signs will help you in knowing when to wean a kitten.

They will generally signal an interest in solid foods by biting the bottle nipple or showing an interest in licking milk or formula from a finger.

To start weaning, try feeding some formula or milk from a spoon or in a small bowl or flat dish.

The next step is to begin adding some high quality canned kitten food with the milk (or water) and making a soft paste out of it.

Don’t use a dry food yet unless it is thoroughly moistened as a kitten can’t chew dry food until they are 8 weeks old. It is a good idea though to make some dry food available as some kittens like to crunch on the smaller pieces.

Use a bowl that is easy to access and putting a little of the food on the kitten’s mouth might help stimulate their appetite as they will have a natural tendency to look it off. Avoid blocking the nose with food or formula so your kitten can breathe easily and not panic.

You should continue to bottle feed during this process to make sure the kitten is getting enough to eat and slowly reduce the feedings as the kitten eats more solid food.

Around the eight week mark you can start to make the transition to dry food if you wish by slowly introducing dry food with the canned and reducing the amount of canned food you use until you only use dry.

Weight gain can be slow and some diarrhea is common but if it is excessive it can be a serious life-threatening problem and you should take the kitten to your vet immediately.

Continual weight gain is the goal and a good rule of thumb is around four ounces a week.

Safe driving on ski trips - part 1 - the basics

Whether you’re leaving the city heading to the Mammoth Mountain/Lake Tahoe High Sierra country for its beauty and relaxation, or planning that ski trip from Scottsdale to Snowbowl, here are some tips for a safe and pleasant journey. Be sure to see also Part 2: “Don’t get in Trouble, but if you do -–.“

Driving in winter conditions tests your car to the limit. If something isn't working properly under the best conditions it certainly isn't going to work when it's cold and stormy.

Check weather and travel conditions before heading out. Don't take chances if the weather is bad. Don’t drive when there are whiteouts, freezing rain or blizzards. Leave early to allow extra time to get to your destination. Buckle up; always use your belt. This means all passengers and children, too.

Whenever starting your car, make sure that there is nothing obstructing the tailpipe, and never warm up your car in a closed garage.

If you feel tired, pull off the road and rest!

Check engine oil, especially before long trips. Use winter weight (5W-30) or all-season oil.

Check tire pressure, tire condition, and spare tire pressure regularly. Tires lose on the average 1 pound per month through normal leakage.

Inspect the belts and hoses to be sure they are free from frays, cracks, leaks or rotted rubber. Make sure that radiator hose clamps are tight in order to prevent leaks at the connections.

Be sure all lights are in good working order, and that your brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition.

Have a mechanic check the battery and charging system. Keep battery terminals clean, tight, free of corrosion, and dry. If you find that you need a new battery, get the biggest that will fit in your car.

Keep the windshield and windows clear. Change to winter wiper blades, which are made for driving in snow. Check windshield washer fluid level. It’s a good idea to keep some extra fluid in the trunk in case you run out. Make sure you get fluid appropriate for the lowest temperature you will experience.

Check coolant level and mixture. Make certain the antifreeze will protect your car to the lowest winter temperature you'll be exposed to where you will be driving.

Keep the gas tank as full as possible. It may be necessary to change routes or turn back during a bad storm, or you may be caught in a traffic delay. If you get stranded, the engine will be your only source of heat. (Make sure you keep a window open a crack if you're sitting there with the engine running.)

Always keep an updated map of your route, an extra car key in your pocket, and a cell phone and small change or a calling card for a payphone.

It’s a good idea to keep a winter survival kit in your vehicle: blanket, hats, boots, gloves, change of clothing, small broom, ice scraper, small snow shovel, towel, flashlight, batteries, kitty litter or burlap for traction, jumper cables, a tool kit, tire chains, a properly inflated spare tire, wheel wrench and tripod-type jack. Additional items for the trunk include a Help sign to put in your window, brightly-colored cloth, a compass, first aid kit, wooden matches in a waterproof container, scissors, string, and canned food along with a can opener.

Always carry chains. Sandbags in the trunk over the rear axle will provide better traction in rear wheel vehicles. Use winter tires. They improve driving safety by providing better traction and handling through snow, slush, and on ice, but never mix tires of different tread, size and construction. Because of winter's lower temperatures, the air pressure in tires will drop. Check tires after driving a short distance to warm them up for an accurate reading. Adding air to cold tires can result in over-inflated tires when they warm up.

It can take ten times longer to stop in icy conditions than on a dry road. Don't get overconfident with four-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive helps you get going quicker but it won't help you stop any faster. Drive slowly, allowing extra room to slow down and stop. Use the highest gear possible to avoid wheel spin. Maneuver gently, avoiding harsh braking and acceleration.

If your car is equipped with anti-lock brakes, do not pump them. To avoid skids, brake carefully and gently on snow or ice. "Squeeze" your brakes in slow, steady strokes. Allow the wheels to keep rolling. If they start to lock up, ease off the brake pedal. As you slow down, you may also want to shift gently into a lower gear.

Be careful when approaching shaded areas, bridges, and overpasses, as these sections of road freeze much sooner in cold weather and stay frozen long after the sun has risen. Don't use your cruise control or overdrive when it's freezing (or colder). Even roads that appear clear can have isolated slippery spots and the quick touch of your brakes to deactivate cruise control can cause you to lose control of your vehicle. With overdrive, as you encounter a hill your vehicle automatically accelerates or downshifts, which can cause loss of traction.

So, whether you’re to stay at Aspen, Scottsdale or Vail, there’s much more involved than just finding discounted hotel accommodations; be sure to plan a safe and pleasant trip!

Getting a better rank for all of your pages

In one of my articles, I discussed how to market your web site link twice. It detailed out how to promote not only www. yoursite. com but how you should also promote your site without the www., like this: http://yoursite. com.

This article is to talk about promoting ALL of your pages within your marketing campaign. See, most of us typically only promote the main page on our sites. Ex. www. yoursite. com. The truth is, your site is much more than just the 1st page right? Well, let's condition ourselves to promote everything available within your site...

Search Engine Marketing is crucial for all companies who want to succeed online. I'm sure at one point or another, you will hear how "Optimizing your site for search engines is crucial". Of course, they aren't fooling you, it is a crucial marketing tactic but, what is also crucial is learning how to use different tools to boost your search engine placements once you've optimized your site for the web.

So let's talk about the marketing tactics available to you and implement strategies on how to promote all your pages within them.

LINK EXCHANGES:

Link popularity has become a norm for most small companies to implement in their daily promoting activities. Here's the problem, most companies that perform link exchanges daily fail to utilize it to their advantage. For ex. Let's say you perform approximately 10 link exchanges daily. For each one, you submitted your link "www. yoursite. com". What you'll want to start implementing is submitting 10 different links within your site.

Ex Link Exchanges:

Link #1: http://yoursite. com

Link #2: http://yoursite. com/resources

Link #3: http://www. yoursite. com/services

And so on...

A good strategy would be to open up "Note Pad" and create all the links you want to promote.

1) Add each link

2) Assign an appropriate title to each link

3) Create an appropriate description for each link

Now all you have to do is to copy and paste each link when performing your daily link exchanges.

WRITING ARTICLES:

Do you write articles to promote your site??? If you do, then you probably have created a "Resource Box" at the end of each article right??? Good, let's change the resource box a little.

My site is host to 100's of Marketing Articles and the 1 thing I notice time & time again is that each author (no disrespect to any of the wonderful authors) Typically only add the main page of their web site within their "resource box".

Ok, let's say you write articles about "Search Engine Marketing". At the end of the article, add a link to a page on your site that talks about "Search Engine Marketing" or something similar.

Ex. http://www. yoursite. com/search_engine_marketing. html

So with that in mind, try revising all your articles to point to specific pages on your web site.

DIRECTORY SUBMISSIONS:

Submitting your site to directories will give your site long lasting traffic. Not all directories will accept any link from your site besides the main page. This is ok though, there are literally 100's of other directories that will allow you to submit any page you want.

Experiment with this and try to change up all your links when your submitting to directories.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND : Using anything other than your main page for directories like: OPD Open Project Directory or Yahoo.

So now you have 3 proven marketing strategies on how to improve your search engine placements for all of your pages instead of only your main page. Be creative with this and look for more strategies you can implement this tactic with.

You can create new things to attract people to your website, you can change things that you already have, or you can use what you have. No matter which option you choose, you can make it work.

So, let’s start with the new ideas. You can create a Squidoo lens that pertains to your business. You can create a blog for your business. You can come up with a new ad. You can create a new button or banner. You can come up with a new product or service to offer. You can join new network groups or Yahoo groups. You can even start a newsletter. You can put an ad in your local newspaper. You can post paper ads around your town or hand them out to people. You can have an open house and share your business with others. You can create Mom Packs and hand them out to people or daycares. The list is just endless. Take a few minutes and brainstorm. You will be amazed at what you will come up with.

Next, you can change things you already have in place. You can change the wording in your ad. Make changes to your website, so that people can see the difference. If you send out a newsletter, change your template or logo so you have a new look. If you send out a newsletter you can add a new topic inside the newsletter. If you have a blog you can add new things to it or change the logo or style. If you have a flyer, add a picture to it, change the font, or the color of paper you print it on. So, if you had a slow summer and you want to jump start your business, use the tips above. Hopefully they will help you get started.

The benefits of tourmaline in hair straighteners

:
One of the great things about hair products is that they constantly evolve and the Sedu hair iron is a great example of a hair product benefiting from Tourmaline. In fact Tourmaline has been used for many years in water filters and it’s only been in recent years that the benefits of Tourmaline could be harnessed for the hair industry. This article was written to try and explain exactly what Tourmaline is and why it's used on hair straighteners.

Firstly, Tourmaline is a precious stone, whose colors include blue, green, pink, red, yellow, brown, black, bi-colored, tri-colored, and colorless. Tourmaline may be found in Brazil, Russia, Burma, Afghanistan, Malagasy Republic, Maine, California.

According to Egyptian legend the beautiful colors are the result of the Tourmaline travelling along a rainbow from the centre of the Earth up towards the sun. And on its way up it collected all the colours of the rainbow. This is why nowadays it is also called the "Rainbow gemstone”.

The name "Tourmaline” is derived from the Singhalese expression "tura mali”, which translates as "stone of mixed colours.” Ooohhh, now I'm intrigued. The very name already refers to the unique spectrum of colours displayed by this gemstone and no Tourmaline stone resembles another one. Tourmaline shows many faces and is thus excellently suited to match all moods and tempers. It does not come as a surprise, then, that ever since ancient days it has been attributed with magical powers. Tourmaline is supposed to be an especially powerful influence on love and friendship, lending them permanence and stability. I think it's about time I gave a Sedu Tourmaline hair straightener to my boyfriend!

Tourmaline has been used for sometime now in specialist water filters but only recently has it's benefits been used in the hair industry.

Why is it used on hair straighteners?

It's all very well and good that Tourmaline is a beautiful gemstone but I'm sure I've never seen any sparkling gems on my Sedu tourmaline hair straightener so why is it used. I'm going to get a bit technical here: Tourmaline plates on your straightener generate negative ions and far infrared (FIR) rays. The FIR help to lock in moisture in your hair and also remove static which causes your hair to Frizz.
Due to the concentration of these negative ions hair-straightening time is cut in half and your hair is left feeling much softer and shinier.

Main benefits
· Micro-porous technology (locks in moisture)
· Ion field technology (seals in natural oils)
· Tourmaline Negative ion technology (removes static)
· Tourmaline Infrared heat for deep, long lasting straightness

It just goes to show that even precious stones have many more applications than sitting on your finger or around your neck. Although I think I still prefer a big diamond ring any day.

Optimize for search engines and for visitors

Copyright 2006 Matt Jackson

The question on webmasters’ lips is whether to optimize their website for search engines or for visitors. There are arguments for both sides of the argument. On the one hand, without good search engine optimization a website may struggle to actually get any visitors but attracting tens of thousands of visitors a day would be of little consequence if the website doesn’t convert those visitors into full paying customers.

Keep Your Website’s Goal In Mind

It’s incredibly easy to get wrapped up in search engine optimization and to forget the ultimate goal of your website. Whether this goal is for visitors to click on links, purchase products or pay for your service you need to encourage your website traffic to do this. The most effective way is to produce exceptionally written and informative content but natural content writing never used to perform well in the search engine result pages.

Is Google Doing Good?

There’s good news for anyone looking to profit from their website and keep their customers happy. Despite being maligned by webmasters and SEO professionals, Google is attempting to update its algorithms for the better. The intention behind recent changes has been to penalize websites that rely on nothing more than search engine optimization. It seems that the major search engines are just as serious about promoting websites that are geared towards visitors as the rest of the Internet is.

Mild Search Engine Optimization And Why It’s Necessary

The problem that search engines face when determining the validity of websites is that they can’t physically crawl every website manually and have someone look over the content. They have to use software and hardware that automates this task. Subsequently, they have to use keyword rules to determine the topics that a website covers. This means it is still necessary to ensure that your website contains the keywords you are targeting and usually more than once in the entire text of the page. However, sites reaching top spot in search engine results because they have crammed their pages with keywords is something that has long been dead.

Natural Keyword Inclusion

The most effective method, then, of writing website content is to write it naturally as though you’d never heard of search engines, and more specifically search engine optimization. Once you’ve written your text with your keywords in mind you will usually find that you have included the important keywords already. Read through the content again and if there are any areas where you can naturally insert these keywords then do so. This will give extra credence to your content in the eyes of search engines but don’t get carried away. In preference to including same keyword over and over again, use several related keywords.

Keep It Fresh, Keep It Popular

One other area that will help your site greatly is the regular introduction of fresh content. By regularly updating your website you will keep visitors returning and ensure that they get value from your website, predisposing them to the idea of purchasing or clicking links. Do this and the search engines will also smile down on you without you having to get heavily involved in search engine optimization practices.

Bad breath in children

There are specific reasons that there may be problem of bad breath in children. There are several factors which may influence the production of bad breath, and some of these are particularly likely to be found in children.

Depending on their age, children can have a habit of putting things up their noses, which may become lodged and lead to bad breath. It's not unusual for children to poke small objects into their mouths and noses. If there is a suspicion of this, it is probably best to allow a doctor to probe and remove the foreign object. There may be an indicator of this activity if there is a discharge from the nose. It's also been reported that small swallowed objects can become lodged in the passages and cause bad breath.

The habit of oral hygiene needs to be instilled in children while they are growing up. It's fairly well established that children are not necessarily fastidious in keeping their teeth and mouths clean, and the presence of old food may provide a good breeding ground for the bacteria that cause decomposition and smelly breath. Children should always be encouraged and taught to maintain the highest standards of oral hygiene, as this is a habit that they will carry with them through their lives.

When considering a case of chronic bad breath in children, the usual factors that create the problem in adults should not be ignored. These would include dry mouth, which creates an environment conducive to the bacteria flourishing. While it should be expected that children would not be so prone to bad breath from chewing tobacco, or from drinking alcohol, they are more prone to diseases that affect the saliva glands, and to getting respiratory or throat and mouth infections. These in themselves may cause direct odor, and they will also aggravate the problem by causing mouth breathing and drying out.

Post nasal drip is a particular problem found in young children which can cause bad breath. The bacteria causing the smelly breath tend to be at home on the back of the tongue, and this is exactly where the nasal drip concentrates. The nasal drip itself is a chemical compound that is reported from research to act as a fuel to the bacteria. It contains protein made up of amino acids that are broken down to hydrogen sulfide and other smells.

If it appears that your child has a persistent bad breath problem, it would be wise to consult your physician for assistance in diagnosing and curing the issue.

Parenting tip spice up child stories by using sound

Copyright 2006 Paul Arinaga

This article presents a parenting tip for using sound, and especially onomatopoeia, with child stories. The benefits are:

1. they make child stories more interesting

2. stories become more interactive

3. making sounds is fun!

Why Use Sound?

As recently as a few centuries ago, stories were primarily oral/aural; they were spoken, not read.

Even today, good storytelling in writing is pretty much the same as good storytelling verbally. Unlike adult “stories”, children’s stories have always been spoken or read aloud, and still are today.

One way to make your stories more “verbal” is to use sound or onomatopoeia.

“Onomoto” what?

Onomatopoeia are words that imitate sounds. For example, a cow says “moo” or a clock goes “tick tock tick tock”.

Here are 5 ideas for using onomatopoeia in the stories you write or tell.

#1 Use them and add them

Kids love onomatopoeia and they add color to your stories. So, sprinkle them generously throughout your story.

Even if you’re reading someone else’s story to your child, you could easily ad lib and add in a few onomatopoeia here and there.

#2 Borrow

Different cultures have different sounds. It’s quite interesting to discover that in Japan dogs say “wan wan” while in North America they say “woof woof” or “bow wow”.

Borrowing sounds from other cultures is a good way to expose your children to foreign languages and the fact that people can be different (or hear/produce sounds in a completely different way). So, next time you come across “cockle doodle doo” you can mention that in French they say “cocoricoo” and in Dutch they say “kukelekuu”.

#3 Make ‘em up!

This can be really fun. You can have a contest with your kids to see what sounds you all can come up with. They’ll love it and it’ll help draw them into the story more.

#4 Start with a sound

Starting a story with a sound is a great way to grab kids’ attention right from the very beginning. Here are some examples:

“Whoo-eeee!” they exclaimed with delight. “Boom!” the explosion rocked the little town. “Cooka-looka-doo!” crowed the goofy rooster.

#5 Use sounds to build to a climax

You can start with a low rumbling noise that builds to a roar. This will be more effective than telling. Also, the contrast will really add excitement to your story just as dynamic contrast (e. g. crescendos) adds more excitement to music.

#6 Modulate your voice

Be loud, be soft, be high-pitched, be low-pitched.

The contrast will keep your kids interested in the story.

#7 Use sounds/onomatopoei to describe characters or settings

Onomatopoeia are not only for animals and things. You can use them to reveal emotions as well in your dialogue. Some examples are: “grrr” “augh” or “hmphhh”.

You can even use onomatopoeia to describe characters or settings. For example, “it was a hot day that seemed to sizzle: ‘ts-i-i-i-i-i…’”

Conclusion

One word of caution: pay attention to the phonetic spelling of your onomatopoeia so that people pronounce them more or less as you intended.

It seems like several millennia of human history have something to teach us: human beings love stories AND we love sound.

So, use sounds in your child stories as much as you want. A written child story will become almost like a multi-media document.

And above all, have fun with it!

Teaching to build your opt-in list

:
If you are in the business of selling online, then you are in the business of building an opt-in list and remarketing. Many website owners find that collecting opt-in subscribers is extremely expensive and involves running advertising or renting e-mail lists.

These methods can be effective – especially if you happen to sell high-end products with a very limited market size. But regardless of your organization’s size or the cost of your products, finding more cost-effective ways of generating leads is extremely important. For many website owners, providing free information products is an excellent way of improving opt-in subscription ROI.

Teach Them And They Will Come
The single most popular commodity on the Internet is information. People are starving for it. In fact, information is so important to many people that they spend an enormous amount of time educating themselves online so they can stay informed. Many view this form of continuous education as a competitive advantage they have over their peers, and feel that without it, their careers would suffer.

Here’s an example: A CEO schedules a meeting with his technical staff to talk about installing a Voice over IP (VoIP) system in the office. Because he likes to do his homework, the CEO spends an hour or so preparing for the meeting by doing some quick research on the Internet. He searches for “VoIP” on Google, and finds a ton of information about the different types of technologies. With this information he can develop a game plan for his meeting.

The company (and website) that does the best job of educating him about VoIP stands a very good chance of getting an opportunity to bid on the project when it gets approved.

In this case, the website doesn’t just create a lead for the VoIP company. It actually does something more important – it teaches the prospect to value the unique selling points of the company that provided the educational material. And in the case above, it actually influenced how the project was going to be presented to the prospect’s management team.

Later that week, when a competing company calls on the prospect to try to get an appointment, the CEO will be prejudiced against their solution because it does not possess the qualities he has learned to value from the first company.

Understanding this dynamic is crucial to building your opt-in list, and it should go a long way in determining your overall online strategy.

Effective Methods to Teach Online
Depending on your industry, there are a number of ways you can effectively teach online. Following are a few rapid-fire methods we have used in the past that brought great results.

White Papers – Inexpensive to produce and with an established distribution system on the Internet, white papers are a great way to get the word out about your organization’s products. These types of publications are primarily used in more technical industries such as software, hardware, medical, and engineering. A couple of distribution channels are: www. bitpipe. com and www. knowledgestorm. com, but you can also distribute them on your website.

Video Tutorials – An emerging method of teaching, video streaming allows organizations to not only teach a prospect about the industry, but also to demonstrate their products. Currently, video tutorials are a favorite among computer software and hardware manufacturers, but their use is rapidly spreading to other areas such as marketing and healthcare. Video tutorials can be marketed through Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns on search engines as well as a number of new online video search services (Google has recently released a service here: http://video. google. com/).

EBooks – Because they are relatively inexpensive to produce, eBooks are a favorite form of lead generation for those website owners who have the talent or resources to write long-form text. Ebooks are generally viewed as more educational than white papers, and so may be viewed as a more valuable resource to some people. Ebooks do not need to be hundreds of pages long. In fact, most eBooks are between 50 and 100 pages, and can be promoted through dozens of online directories and distribution portals.

Web-based Tutorials – The most flexible method of delivering online content is on your website itself. Using this method, you create password-protected areas that require surfers to register in order to access your information product. The primary benefit of web-based content delivery is that the content can be easily updated at any time. Web-based tutorials are ideal for industries and topics that change often, or where the product itself is delivered via the website. Web-based tutorials can be promoted on your website, through PPC ads, and via your corporate newsletter.

If you are in the business of selling products or services online, then it could actually be said that you are also in the business of educating your market. When it comes to your industry, you are the expert. Your prospects are the students, and they have a vested interest in understanding as much as they can about how they can use your products and services to improve their businesses.

The companies that build their opt-in lists fastest are usually the ones that do the best job of educating their prospects about their industry. By following this method, you gain a valuable database of leads, and the prospect base learns everything they need to know to be able to purchase your products confidently.

The great giro d italia

Inspired by the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia is a bicycle race frequently hosted at the Passo dello Stelvio, which is a mountain pass. The race takes 3 weeks to be completed.

The first Giro d’Italia race took place in 1909 in Milan, it was composed by 8 stages and a total of 2448km in length, and the winner was Luigi Ganna from Italy. Since then, only 3 competitors have won the cycling race more than one time, these are: Alfredo Binda, Fausto Coppi both from Italy and Eddy Merckx from Belgium.

A curious fact about Alfredo Binda is that due to his potential and incredible scores, many people thought it was better for him to be out of the competition, but in 1933 he won again.

The Giro d’Italia is considered one of the three Grand Tours and it became very popular because of the scenery where it is held. The Passo delle Stelvio is the highest pass in Italy situated in the Alps Retiche and it is part of the European history.

For 2006 the Giro d’Italia will have a total of 3.526,2 km in length and a total of 21 stages. The race will take place from May 6th to May 28th. The first stage will be held at the Belgium lands during the first days. Also, the competition has some kilometers that will be run in Austria and Switzerland.

Cycling fever is running on the streets and many fans are just waiting the next Giro d’Italia, one of the most awaited cycling competitions in the world.

Types of dvd players

If you are contemplating on buying DVD player, have a look at the various categories available in the market, such as ENTRY LEVEL, MULTI DISC CHANGERS, PROGRESSIVE SCAN, DVD AUDIO/VIDEO, MID LEVEL, and HIGH END AND PORTABLE DVD PLAYERS.

The Entry Level models are less expensive than the others. Many of these models come with features such as built-in Dolby Digital Decoder component video output. The video and audio performances are generally good. They have very good picture quality. Some of the models even feature compatibility with CD-R's and CD-RW's and Decode MP 3 files. Some have virtual surround sound, to create better ambiance with just a pair of stereo speakers.

TheMulti Disc DVD Changers - These models offer the convenience of continuous multi-disc DVD/CD play back and in player storage. This is recommended for those who want to integrate the CD and DVD player into one convenient space saving unit. This is a suitable choice to double the DVD-video player as a CD changer and can hold 5 discs or up to 403 discs. The model provides you with uninterrupted entertainment.

The Progressive Scan DVD Players deliver a better picture. Progressive scanning allows the entire picture to be drawn at the same time at a refresh rate of 60 frames per second. These models come in affordable rates.

DVD integrated Home Theatre System costs a bit more than the previously mentioned DVD Players. The hook up and setup are simple and fool proof, as it is having colour coding of the terminals and speaker wires.

DVD AUDIO PLAYERS can play the new DVD-Audio format which supports high resolution 24-bit digital sound in either PCM stereo or multi channel surround sound for music.

MID LEVEL MODELS have been replaced with the progressive scan and DVD-Audio categories. These models are a bit expensive, and feature better video and audio performance. All models include Component video output for excellent picture quality.

THE HIGH END MODELS are highly expensive. This model represents the best of what DVD technology has to offer. To realize the higher levels of video and audio performance, a State-of-the-Art Home Theatre System is needed.

THE PORTABLE DVD Player - This is a very convenient model with built in LCD display in 7" to 9" screens opens up a new world of DVD enjoyment. Some models can even play DVD Audio.

Apart from the above models, DVD - audio/video players and DVD - video/super audio CD Players are also available.

How to compare offshore jurisdictions

Today many unscrupulous firms are offering corporations and bank accounts in many different jurisdictions with a shopping list of countries available almost every one of them no longer any good, many being located on Caribbean islands and are misleading the customers into thinking they are real offshore jurisdictions with privacy benefits. Wrong!!!

Let's analyze some things to look for when shopping for an offshore jurisdiction.

Bank Secrecy - Without this we are not interested. We want the bank to not be able to divulge any information about the bank account including whether or not such a bank account even exists unless there is an order from a competent court in the country where the bank is located. More secrecy than this does not exist any place today. Numbered accounts are gone. Sparbuch accounts in Austria are all gone, yes I know people offer them for sale on websites but they are all long gone and closed down. The bank secrecy laws must be written into the law of the land in question. Belize has no such bank secrecy laws written in their laws, people just seem to trust them even though there would be no legal penalty for them to reveal bank information if they see fit to do so. We want bank secrecy laws to call for prison and civil penalties for any violations in addition to allow for one to bring suit against the bank for violations. Panama meets this test.

MLAT - Mutual Legal Assistance treaty. Many nations have entered into these agreements. For a list of countries that have entered into these agreements with the USA courtesy of the US Government click here:

http://travel. state. gov/law/info/judicial/judicial_690.html

It is shocking as to how many countries are in such agreements. Even Panama is in such an agreement but it is fairly limited in scope, see below:

Essentially Panama will cooperate in a multi-national case involving narcotics and money laundering (these crimes need to be tied to narcotics). They also will get involved in cases concerning child pornography and real terrorism. If you are not a narcotics dealer and are not a money launderer (money launders are typically dealing with many millions of dollars), not a child pornographer, and not a terrorist you should not be concerned by this. The MLAT requires that there first need to a criminal prosecution case on file in the criminal courts of the requesting government (which means no fishing expeditions) then through diplomatic channels involving the embassies, requests are made for information, then reviewed by Panama officials and a decision on compliance is made or requests for more information are made so a determination can be arrived at. These cases can take months and even years for completion. At times the country where the bank is located has been known to once alerted to the problem, conduct their own investigation first and this usually requires them to seize the relevant records and documents which can stall the process for a long time even years since their justice systems typically moves quite slow and statues of limitation can run out, please don't construe this to mean Panama does this routinely it is just something that does occur from time to time around the world. The MLAT has no application to civil cases such as divorce, bankruptcy, civil judgments, business litigation, any sort of civil litigation, civil tax matters etc. Taxation matters of any sort are not covered by this as far as Panama is concerned. Income tax evasion is a civil (non-criminal) offense in Panama. Switzerland cooperates on income tax cases if the return is filed falsely like all income was not declared, things were omitted or so the complaining government says. Panama has no extradition treaties. Panama passes this test.

Tax Treaties ? Many so called Offshore Jurisdictions are in Tax Treaties. For a list of countries with tax treaties with the USA click here. Panama has NO tax treaty with any country. Even Switzerland and Belize are in tax treaties as are most of the so called offshore jurisdictions. Click here to see a list of countries in tax treaties complete with links enabling you to read the actual treaties, a real eye opener click here:

http://panamalaw. org/countries_with_tax_treaties. html

Type of Bank License - Many of these offshore banks have offshore banking licenses versus regular banking licenses. Let me explain. These island jurisdictions usually have different classes of bank licenses ? one class allows the bank to do business with only residents of the country, the other class usually encountered is the offshore license that allows the bank to ONLY conduct business with non-residents of the country, and they usually have a third class of license that allows the bank to do business with both residents and non-residents. It is a natural conclusion that a bank with an offshore only license is a risky proposition at best since the government won't let them do business with the citizens of their country. The banks we use in Panama are open to the citizens of Panama and are never offshore only banks. Most of the bank accounts being offered by various web site businesses are with bank having only an offshore license.

Corporation Privacy - This is an important point. I see many websites selling offshore corporations from dozens of countries. The only kind of corporation worth anything when it comes to privacy is a bearer share corporation. By this what is meant is the ownership of the corporation rests with the person who has the physical stock certificates of the corporation. Ownership need not be reported or recorded anywhere. A sale of the corporation does not need to be reported. This is what is called a non-transparent corporation and is extremely disliked by many governments who think people have no rights to privacy. In Panama a S. A. Corporation or bearer share company has no ownership reporting or recording requirements. One merely hires professional directors (which we provide) who appear as directors on hundreds of corporations and that is that. Directors are made public but you need not be your own director, we provide professional nominee directors complete with resignation letters and general power of attorney letter. Corporation privacy is especially important since governments have taken to monitoring bank wire transfers including recently the Swift System scandal showing the USA was monitoring Swift Transfers and we do not know to what extent and for exactly how long but is best to assume the worst. If one uses an anonymous bearer share Panama Corporation there is lack of transparency in that no one knows the ownership behind the corporation, they only know the corporation received or sent a wire and the other side of the transaction. This serves to preserve your privacy to a large extent. Imagine how silly it is to use an offshore corporation where ownership is made public and can be computerized thus one could tell in seconds who is the person behind the corporation receiving or sending the funds. This is what is being sold all over the internet as an offshore corporation misleading the people into thinking their privacy is being protected. Once again Panama passes the test.

Taxation Free - The offshore jurisdiction must be taxation free in that offshore derived income is not taxed by the country where the corporation is domiciled. Panama meets this test as does numerous other countries. Panama also has no capital gains tax for you stock market investors and there is no inheritance or probate tax. Panama passes this test.

Weather Considerations - Many of these offshore jurisdictions are located on islands and are subject to power outages from hurricanes. Also one must look for risk from volcanoes, tsunamis and earthquakes. Just what you don't need is a power outage from a storm preventing you from getting your money out when you need it. The reason the Panama Canal was built where it is, is because there is no risk from hurricanes, tsunamis, volcanoes and earthquakes. Panama passes the test.

Infrastructure - One must look at the power generators, telephone system and internet when evaluating an offshore jurisdiction. You don't want to have to wait days or weeks to be able to use your online banking or to be able to talk to your bank on the phone. Panama was basically built by the Americans who just left it in 2000. It has American style phones, electricity, roads, etc. The cells phones and internet in Panama are as good as Canada or USA. Panama passes the test again.

Government Stability - The last thing you need is to be banking in some tax haven offshore jurisdiction and find out a revolution has taken place and you can kiss your money goodbye. Another possibility is like what happened in Grenada when there was rampant bank fraud causing the closure and liquidation of the offshore banks with people losing their savings. Panama is a stable democracy. Panama is a UN neutral country so a war is most unlikely. Panama is in a treaty with the USA concerning the Panama Canal which was given to them by the USA in 2000. If the canal is threatened the USA has the right to step in to protect the Panama Canal. This means that if there was a revolution (unlikely occurrence since Panama is a most stable democracy) the USA would have fighter jets there within an hour or two and by the next day one could expect to see a navy aircraft carrier group in Panama Bay with an expeditionary force of marines. Next would be an airlift, paratroopers, helicopters, nuclear submarines and you have the idea. Forget about an invasion, attack or revolution in Panama, it passes the test.

Currency - Panama uses the US dollar as its currency. The banks are on the US dollar and the ATM machines dispense US dollars, they even use US coins. This means a stable currency. I know some of you will say they like the Euro better fine but when I say stable compare it to the Bahamian Dollar or Grand Cayman Dollar. No currency conversion costs in Panama if you use dollars. Panama again passes the test.

EU Ties - Panama has no ties that could erode privacy again passing the test. No reportage of income for EU residents or collecting of withholding taxes. Tax identity numbers from your home country are not required to open a Panama bank account, own a corporation, buy real estate etc. Panama again passes the test.

How to build embedded links

All ecommerce businesses employ embedded links to improve their Page Rank, and to lead customers from one area of the website to the next. One of the most common is ‘Click Here’. These lead to the website’s most important pages, buy now pages, and squeeze pages. Most webmasters discount these links as unimportant.

Unfortunately, they can throw a website’s SEO campaign out of whack. Think of it, the ecommerce site invests months of work, and countless dollars in graphics, images, and content to build the perfect sale’s tool. Then, without thinking, they add 100 ‘Click Here’ links.

Focus on Search Engines

When the search engine robots travel to the site to ‘spider’ the content and rank the website, ‘Click Here’ becomes one of the dominant keyword phrases. It is fun to go to Google and type in the keyword phrases ‘click here’ to see what happens. No one starts out to be #1 for the keyword phrase, ‘click here.’

Tagging the Bottom of the Content

Another mistake is adding a list of links at the bottom. Google gives very little weight to links at the bottom of a page. So, adding, ‘cheap digital camera’ at the bottom of the page will not attract search engine robots as well as using the same keyword phrase buried inside content. One way to sidestep these two problems is to use a short comment:

Click here to see our selection of cheap digital cameras including the Cabaret 300.

The above example asks for the sale, tells users exactly what will be on the next page, and employs an embedded link, everything needed to satisfy both human visitors and search engine robots.

External Links

This is also true of external links from partners, press releases, articles and shared content links. The bottom of the article or press release includes a short tag. That tag should embed the link in a keyword phrase, and it should be inside the link, not at the end. Many Do-It-Yourself Internet Marketers add the URL, believing users will remember it - they won’t. So, the benefit of an ‘executive level’ link is lost, because the URL is written out and is not remembered by visitors.

This is a trick, because many of the article directories will not let users add embedded links at the end. And, if they do, it limits the number of publishers who will list the article - because it might throw their own Internet Marketing Campaign out of balance.

Images

Despite the fact that all self-help sites teach Internet Marketers to add keyword phrase tags to the image, most do not. Adding alt tags to an image can make a vast difference to a website’s rank, especially an ecommerce shopping market.

A single shopping cart can have 1000 images. Each of them can be an ‘embedded link’ joining the image to a ‘more information’ page. This page may have more information on the product, or a group of products, directions on how to use an item, or even information about the product’s company.

The trick is to make sure that the keyword phrases in the meta information on the first page matches the keyword phrases used in the image - and, the keyword phrases on the new page. This will create a top level link exchange. It is important to remember that an inbound link does not need to generate ‘off’ the website.

Keyword success is a never ending battle. It can make the difference between profit and loss, and should be the first consideration for an ecommerce business.

Thinking of taking an outdoor vacation

Everybody has their own idea of what the perfect summer vacation would be. For most it includes sun, sea and sand, whereas for others their idea of a perfect vacation is lying underneath the stars watching the world go by.

Camping is quite a popular outdoor vacation and it can make an excellent vacation. It can be extremely fun and if you have never tried it before, it just may surprise you.

Why Consider a Camping Summer Vacation?

Camping can be fun and the great thing is that there are a number of options open to you as to where you can go. There are hundreds of campgrounds that you can use; it is just a matter of taste as to which ones you actually go for. Some can be extremely crowded and so if you need your space you would be better off doing some through research to see which campgrounds are the most spacious. A state park is something to consider if you do want your privacy, though there choosing one to suit you could be a challenge as there are up to 20 state parks in some states.

In order to choose the best park for you, think about the distance that you are wiling to travel. Do you have to rely upon public transport or can you drive quite a distance to the state park of your choice? Really you should be able to find one in your local area, but if not there should not be one too far away. No matter which type of campsite you choose, whether it is public or state, the main thing you have to take into consideration is the activities on site.

Who is going with you on the camping trip? Is it set to be a romantic trip or is it more of a family outing? If you do have children with you then it would be a wise idea to look for a site which has plenty of children’s activities. Some sites offer swimming, skate parks, biking and boating to name just a few activities. Obviously if you just want to relax then these will not be of interest to you and you would be better off finding a more secluded camp site.

Overall before you truly decide to go camping, you need to ensure that you can get to a campground that is suitable for your needs. Not all campgrounds will be the same and some will be more crowded with campers than others. So don’t rush into anything and you should have a good, relaxing summer vacation.

How to shop for boat insurance

If you have a boat, you need boat insurance!

Shopping for boat insurance is a bit different from shopping for car insurance, even though the concept is much the same. Boat insurance will protect you against losses incurred while operating your boat, and while transporting your boat. Most boat insurance includes coverage for the boat, the motor, and the trailer.

When shopping for boat insurance, it is usually best to start with the insurance company that insures your cars and your home. Insurance companies usually give deep discounts to their current customers. Most insurance companies will also give deep discounts to people who have successfully completed a boating safety course.

Ask each insurance company that you contact about such discounts. In most cases, they won't tell you about the discounts unless you specifically ask.

Don't settle for the rate that your current insurance company quotes! Just get the quote, and tell them you will call them back soon. Using that quote as your base, you need to see if you can get the insurance cheaper elsewhere.

Using online resources is a great way to start. Get the quotes, and then contact the agents personally to see if you can work out a better deal. Believe it or not, insurance companies will compete with each other for your business. Don't be afraid to tell them the lowest quote that you have been given so far – make them work for your business!

Know what type of insurance you want and need before contacting any agents. Some agents will try to sell you too much insurance, causing your premiums to skyrocket, while others aren't as knowledgeable about the insurance needs of boat owners and won't sell you enough coverage!

You should be protected against losses caused by sinking, fire, storms, theft, capsizing, stranding, collision, and explosion. The policy should cover anchors, oars, trolling motors, fuel tanks, seat cushions, skis, tow ropes, dinghies, tools, canopies, life preservers, and any equipment that is permanently attached to the boat.

The different types of insurance that you need include Watercraft Liability, Watercraft medical payments, Newly acquired watercraft coverage, coverage for repairs, coverage for emergency services, and coverage for wreck removal. In most states, the liability coverage entails Watercraft Liability and Watercraft Medical Payments.

Watercraft liability will protect you in the event of an accident that results from the ownership, maintenance, or use of your boat. It should include bodily injury coverage, property damage coverage, and even legal defense coverage. It should also protect anyone who drives your boat, as long as they were legally allowed to drive the vessel.

Watercraft Medical payments coverage will pay medical expenses up to specific limits for you and the occupants of your boat in the even of an accident.

Other types of coverage are usually voluntary, but should be strongly considered. There is quite a bit that can happen when you transport or operate a water vessel, and protecting yourself legally should be a high priority!

Again, know what you want in terms of coverage before you talk to an agent, and make sure that you get the coverage that you need.

Compare rates online, and then contact the agents that offer you the lowest quotes. Attend a boating safety course, and make sure that you get that discount! Once you've found lower rates than the original quote that your current insurance company offered you, call them back and let them know that you found a lower rate. See if they can compete – in many cases they will offer to match that rate, just to keep your business! Again – make them work for your business!

Bimini tops - cover and sail

It is the perfect weather for boating, and the sight of your newly acquired boat has got the family excited and raring to go. However, a word of caution; if you are looking for comfort while out boating, then a bimini top will provide the perfect solution. It acts as a protective cover from sunlight and harsh weather conditions such as rain and snow, and can be easily put on or removed for storage.

A bimini top can be made from various kinds of material, one of which is cotton duck. While it is inexpensive, it is not long lasting in comparison to other fabrics, and has the ability to leak. Furthermore, it has been known to degrade under high UV conditions.

Vinyl is another commonly used and most popular fabric. It tends to be waterproof, and moves the water from side to side to eventually run out of the boat. Vinyl is easy to clean, and has a quality range from high to low to consider when purchasing.

Acrylic, which looks great, is the top-of-the-line woven fabric. It can withstand harsh temperature conditions. It is durable and has excellent fade resistance power, although it does seem to fade in color more than other fabrics.

Taking care of your bimini top is very important, and the ideal time to do that is during the winter when you should take it down for storage. It should be cleaned, dried, and then stored. Considering the fact that the top is exposed to natural elements for most part of the year, you should follow the same cleaning methods from time to time on a regular basis for long lasting durability.

Before getting a bimini top for your boat, you need to ensure that the measurements are right. Check the width and height to make sure that the top is not too long or too short. The correct height will go a long way in enhancing the look of your boat and make it functional, whereby you can even stand under it.

So now that you have the ideal bimini top for your boat, there's nothing but good times ahead to look forward to. You have the boat of your dreams that is well equipped; your family and friends can enjoy the outdoor experience while still protecting themselves from the rays of the sun, and all you have to do is get on board and sail away.

The question lingers where to buy pain medication

Pain is a universal feeling in humans, fought by many, and experienced by all. Triggered by several factors in a person's nervous system, pain can be either sharp or dull. This feeling may come and go during the day, and may be constant at night. The severity of pain depends on which part of the body is afflicted. Some parts of the body have more sensitive nerve endings and, as a result register more pain intensity.

Pain is, quite ironically, needed in order for us to survive. The ability to feel pain helps a person realize or become aware of a certain injury or illness. Without the sensation of pain, a person might seriously hurt himself even without his knowledge. This is, in fact, the predicament of leprosy patients. Due to their inability to sense pain, they unwittingly injure themselves and, as a result, get seriously infected. These infections could be so serious that the leper might have to be amputated later on to prevent the spread of gangrene.

The feeling of pain belongs to a class of sensations known as bodily sensations, of which includes tickles, itches, orgasms, and so on. Being the most prominent member of this class, pain and other bodily sensations are usually attributed to bodily locations and appear to have features such as volume, intensity, and duration. Bodily sensations like pain are often thought to be logically private, subjective, self-intimating, and the source of incorrigible knowledge for those who have them. Therefore, it appears that there are reasons both for thinking that pain, along with other bodily sensations, are physical objects or conditions that we notice in body parts, and for thinking that they are not. This paradox is one of the main reasons why philosophers are especially interested in pain.

But more practical than philosophy is perhaps the need for an answer to an obvious question: how do we get rid of pain? From headaches to after surgery recovery, pain can extend to its fullest and can make the person suffer immensely. For centuries, herbalists, healers, and scientists have worked to develop pain medications for every type and intensity of pain. From simple headache solutions to arthritis, to lupus and back pain, medications provide temporary (if not permanent) relief so that people would not be able to feel the pain for a certain period of time. And yet, some people still do not know where to buy pain medications. Of course, there is the ever-reliable local drugstore is the traditional place to go to when one needs over-the-counter drugs and prescription medications.

However, another source of quality medications is on the rise. The growing popularity of online pharmacies has empowered a whole new generation who occasionally or regularly need to shop for medication albeit, this time, without leaving their home or office. Online pharmacies have enabled people to procure medicine by using an internet-capable computer. Today, getting pain relief medications is as easy as clicking on a mouse.

Indeed, the Internet has revolutionized the way we buy medicines. Unlike before when patients needed to get hold of their prescription to receive their medications, people can now buy online without having any prescription from their doctor. Online pharmacies can connect a patient to a doctor online, who, in turn, will provide the prescription and arrange the provision of the drug to a nearby pharmacy. The question “where to buy pain medications” can now be answered by simply sitting in front of a computer where a world of medicines await.

How to buy designer bags with confidence

It can be difficult buying a designer bag these day. With the proliferation of on line sites selling fakes as authentic and unscrupulous salespeople. With all the designer knock-offs being called "authentic" it's easy to be misguided into spending way too much money for a fake without knowing it.

There is a difference between buying a designer knock-off and knowing it and being told you're buying the actual bag when it's not.

When you see that Chloe python Silverado bag on i offer you are told it is 7 star quality and mirror image up front, that's honest salesmanship. I don't see a problem with knowingly buying a designer knock off. However, watch these knock-offs too. There are many different qualities. Some will sell an inferior quality knock-off bag for much more than it's worth. I saw a seller on i offer who offered the same exact bag for two very different prices. When I questioned her as to why the same exact bag was being sold for two different prices her reply was that she had to "fix" her description. Hmmmmm. I have also noticed nothing in the description of these bags has changed. I wonder how many people have unwittingly paid for the more expensive of the two bags. Investigate before you buy.

Know the old sayings "if it's too good to be true it probably is" and "you get what you pay for" hold true. You can be assured that lovely Fendi Spy Bag on that online auction, the one starting at $249.00, the one with the bright yellow Fendi tag is not the real thing. No one would offer an authentic Fendi Spy Bag for $249.00.

Who you're purchasing the bag from is of utmost importance. You can be guaranteed that when purchasing that Prada bag from Nieman Marcus or that Gucci from Bergdorf Goodman you're getting an authentic bag, although perhaps not a deal. Check the e-luxury site. Louis Vuitton is one of the actual owners of the e-luxury site. Purchase your Coach bag from their online site. Needless to say authenticity is guaranteed.

Before purchasing a bag on e bay visit their Community Chat Room. There is a wealth of information on how to detect counterfeit bags. Even an e bay "powerseller" can be offering fake bags. When e bay is alerted about a particular seller it may take them some time to investigate. During the time it takes for the investigation the seller could have sold many counterfeit bags. E bay has shut down dealers selling counterfeit bags, but even e bay cannot protect you from all the unscrupulous sellers out there.

Some buyers take their bags to stores like Nieman Marcus or Lord & Taylor to have them authenticated AFTER they purchase them. These department stores will not give a written authentication on a particular bag, but the salesperson will probably tell you whether or not they think the bag is authentic. Don't purchase a bag from anyone without a money back guarantee - ever. If they don't offer a money back guarantee you can be assured the bag isn't authentic. Even if it's the bag of your dreams don't buy it. There will be another one.

Don't be fooled thinking that only authentic bags have holograms and serial numbers. Those that make their money producing knock off bags are on their toes and keep up with any changes made in authentic bags. Even more importantly, when you see a bag for sale anywhere, do you really know what the hologram should look like? Do you know if the serial number should be on a separate metal plate or embossed inside the bag? Should the name Gucci also seen imprinted on the hardware on an authentic bag?

The best way to protect yourself when making ANY purchase is to educate yourself.

How to stop snoring naturally

If you suffer from snoring, you are not only missing out on a quality night’s sleep, but your family’s rest may be disrupted as well. The question facing many sufferers is not what causes snoring so much but, rather, they want to know how to stop snoring completely.

There are a lot of ways that you can stop snoring. From the simplest ways to the more drastic approach, don’t give up hope on getting a good night’s sleep. If you have recently started snoring, try sleeping on your side instead of your back. Experts believe that individuals who sleep on their back suffer from having their air passages blocked when the fatty tissue rests in the back of their throat and causes snoring. If you worry about turning back over through the night, use a large body pillow and press it up against your back. If you try to roll over when sleeping on your side, the pillow will deter this movement and may help to curb that snoring problem. If you find that you are still struggling with the nighttime nuisance, visit your local retail store and check out the bedding section. Browse around and see if you can find a pillow that is specifically designed to help stop snoring.

If sleeping on your side or enlisting the help of a special pillow doesn’t provide any relief from snoring, consider the possibility that you may suffer from allergies. If you know this to be true, begin doing everything possible to rid your home or allergens, including dust, pet hair and cigarette smoke. In addition, you should probably use a quality air filtration device in every room and especially in the bedroom. You will need to change the filters regularly and will be surprised to see the dust that the filter will contain. Allergy sufferers and people with various sinus problems are more prone to snoring because the nasal passages in their throat and nose may become blocked very easily. This causes difficulty breathing, which may lead to snoring.

Individuals who suffer from obesity are also more likely to experience snoring. If you, or someone that you know, has been diagnosed with obesity, consider working with a physician to create a medically supervised diet and exercise program.

The Sleep Genie, a revolutionary new product, allows sleepers to support their jaw during sleep. Experts believe that, if the individual who snores were to have a way to keep their mouth closed during the night, snoring would no longer be an issue. That is where the Sleep Genie starts to work comfortably and eliminate snoring possibly as early as the first use.

This article is intended for informational purposes only. It should not be used as, or in place of, professional medical advice. Before beginning any treatment for snoring, please consult a doctor for a proper diagnosis and remedy.
